including, Kidd Creole, Cowboy, Rahiem, Melle Mel and Mr. Ness

WhenThe Cold Crush Four, was formed
including, Charlie Chase, Grandmaster Caz and Tony Tone
along with, Easy Ad, JDL and Almighty KG

When, Fatback Band released "King Tim III"
The firstnon-rap group ever
To release a rap record

When Sugarhill Gang's, "Rappers Delight" reached #36 on Billboard
the first known rap hit
